Kristen’s Box Bob. Structure but Soft! Haircut by Anh Co Tran, Color by Johnny Ramirez.
So Gamine, Allison! Haircut by Anh Co Tran using Davines products from Italy at the Neil George Salon in Beverly Hills.
The look: Apply a pea size amount of the Invisible Paste from Davines to damp hair. Rough dry to create texture and volume. Depending on the hair type, you might have to smooth it out the frizz with a brush. I want it rough, not frizzy. After it dry, reapply it and separate to create movement. For short feminine hair, it’s so important to see movement and softness, so it won’t look like another short masculine cut!
Stephen. Clean and smart! Haircut by Anh Co Tran using Magic Move hard product from Japan at the Neil George salon in Beverly Hills.
The look: Apply Magic Move hard when hair is damp. Magic Move hard has a generous hold that is still moldable when dry. It is a great wax for guys who don’t want to do too much to their hair, kind of wash and go for the modern guy!
For about 10 years, she’s been a standout in supporting roles and ensemble casts — playing Johnny Cash’s ex in Walk the Line, date-challenged Gigi in He’s Just Not That Into You, and, most famously, sunny third wife Margene in HBO’s just-wrapped polygamy drama Big Love. But with her new movie, the romantic comedy Something Borrowed (out May 6), Ginnifer Goodwin, 32, finally emerges as the marquee star. “I’ve definitely never worked so much over the course of shooting — I was in almost every single scene!” Goodwin says, calling from her home in Los Angeles on very little sleep. Being the main attraction, of course, means sticking to an unrelenting, cross-country promotional schedule — but in the days leading up to her movie’s big Hollywood premiere, Goodwin carved out some time for photographer and LIFE.com editor-at-large Jeff Vespa, inviting him inside her home and her glamorous work. Here, exclusive photos of the actress — who reveals her obsession with costar Kate Hudson’s belly, the origins of that coveted pixie haircut, and her unfiltered opinions about the questionable heroine she plays in Something Borrowed.

Catching up with Merideth. Haircut and style by Anh Co Tran using Leonor Greyl products from Paris at the Neil George Salon in Beverly Hills.
Get the look: First and always towel dry the hair really well before using any products. Because water will dilute the products. Merideth has fine hair but a lot of it, so I put in Voluforme from Leonor Greyl. It’s a great product for that type of hair to give bounce and body. Leonor Greyl is one of my favorite product. It’s lightweight, which is best for layering and has quality ingredients. After applying a moderate amount into her hair, I then start the blow drying right away. Starting with the front hair line and then graduating to the back and then working my way up to the crown area. Ideally using a brush by Ibiza EX3 is the perfect size for this length of hair. Start stretching and pulling and twisting each sections to create that beachy waving look. After the blow dry, a curling iron by Hot Tools 1 1/4” is used to seal and prolong the style. Hair that are in front of the ears are to be waved back and anything behind the ears are waved forward and backward. There you have it. Fresh and sexy!
